Ananda Parenting
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ananda Parenting mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "App") provided by Ananda Parenting ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. Who Can Use the App
The App is intended for use by parents and adult caregivers. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the App you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at preetijoshi0590@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may invite a co-parent to join your household within the App. Both members of a household share access to child profiles, Smriti memories, and other household content. You are responsible for any use of the App by people you invite.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features of the App require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis and are billed through Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS), depending on the platform you use. All payment terms, refund rights, and billing inquiries are governed by the platform through which you purchased your subscription — we do not process payments directly.
Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your platform's subscription settings (Google Play → Subscriptions, or iOS → Settings → Subscriptions).
We do not offer refunds outside of the refund policies of Google Play and the Apple App Store.
4. Content You Create
You retain ownership of all photos, journal entries, voice reflections, and other content you create within the App ("Your Content"). By using the App you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process Your Content solely to provide and improve the services you've signed up for.
You are responsible for Your Content. You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or that violates the rights of any person.
5. Our Content and Intellectual Property
All stories, mantras, festival content, illustrations, and other material provided by us within the App are owned by or licensed to Ananda Parenting and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use this content solely within the App for your personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the App's source code.
- Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or copy content from the App.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, infrastructure, or other users' access.
- Upload content that infringes the copyright, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
7. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how you can request deletion of your data. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
The cultural, spiritual, and parenting content in the App is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ananda Parenting and its owners, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or loss of profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim, or INR 500 / USD 6 (whichever is greater), if you have not made any payment.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App, with reasonable notice where practicable.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ends. Sections 4 (Our Content and Intellectual Property), 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved informally will be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with proceedings conducted in English. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a competent court.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
